Why Nashik destination weddings are different
Nashik weddings move at a different pace from a typical Mumbai banquet hall wedding. Many couples choose a 2-3 day schedule — Mehendi, Sangeet, and the main wedding — set against vineyard or lakeside backdrops instead of indoor function halls.
A Sangeet on an open lawn with vine rows in the background looks nothing like a Sangeet in a Mumbai hotel ballroom. The light is softer, the space is bigger, and the golden hour lasts longer with nothing blocking the horizon.
Shooting at venues like Sula Vineyards requires a photographer who understands open, natural-light spaces — how to use the amphitheatre's seating bowl for ceremony portraits, how the vineyard rows photograph best in the last hour before sunset, and how to move guests comfortably across a much larger property than a typical city venue.

The recent wedding we covered at Sula Vineyards, Nashik — Sharwari & Dhruva
We had the privilege of covering Sharwari and Dhruva's Maharashtrian wedding at Sula Vineyards, Nashik — a celebration that was less of an event and more of a homecoming. Sharwari had been visiting Sula since she was a little girl; Dhruva's family had been close to hers since their childhoods in Muscat. When they finally chose to get married, there was only one place that made sense.
It was a four-event wedding — Mehendi, Sangeet, Haldi, and the main ceremony — each one mapped to a different chapter of their story. The Mehendi drew on Sharwari's love for Mumbai's flea markets, recreated in colour and chaos at the venue. The Sangeet traced their journey across Muscat, India, and the US, building to a quiet father-in-law dance that stopped the room. The Haldi leaned fully into Dhruva's love of tennis, down to a "Love All" backdrop and scorecards with their names.
As the sun set over the vineyard, the ceremony itself blended deep-rooted ritual — the Mangalashtak, the Saptapadi — with a moment entirely their own: Sharwari, a lawyer, had drawn up a customised wedding contract, which Dhruva read clause by clause and signed at the mandap.

We know the light. Nashik's vineyard venues are almost entirely outdoor and naturally lit — very different from Mumbai's mixed-lighting banquet halls. We know how to read open-sky light across a full day, from harsh midday sun to the long golden hour vineyards are known for.
We travel as a team. We send a team of 2-3 photographers to destination weddings — never a single photographer. At a large vineyard wedding spread across lawns, an amphitheatre, and indoor areas, one photographer cannot be everywhere.
We do not interfere. Destination weddings have a particular atmosphere — guests have travelled, everyone is a little more present. Our job is to document that without altering it. We do not pull people aside for poses when moments are happening around us.
We handle logistics ourselves. Travel, accommodation, venue recces, timeline review — we manage all of it. You brief us once. On the wedding day, you do not manage us. We manage ourselves.
We deliver on time. Sneak peek within 1-2 days of each event. Full gallery within 30 days. Film within 60-90 days, even for destination weddings where we are travelling back to Mumbai.
